Born in the US, but raised by Missionary parents in the interior of Brazil, Larry had seen most of both North and South America by the time he moved back to the US for college. Combining the resilience gained as a child growing up in Brazil and the knowledge acquired in his 22 years in the Sears Management program, Larry founded Olson Associates, a registered investment advisory firm, in 1980 and dedicated himself to excellence in the financial service industry. More than 20 years later, Larry and his son Erick together offer comprehensive financial planning services to clients who are serious about desiring to improve their financial situation by helping them define their goals and establish their financial game plan to pursue success.

As the founder and president of Olson Associates, Larry serves as his clients' Financial and Investment coach. Along with Erick, Larry helps lead them to fiscal fitness through planning, implementing and coaching their financial decision-making using the Financial MAXI-MISER process. Larry and Erick's focus is on retirement, education, tax and estate planning for over 500 active clients. Larry is a Registered Principal, and Erick a Registered Representative, with Securities Service Network, Inc., a member of the National Association of Securities Dealers (FINRA) and Securities Investors Protection Corporation (SIPC).

Larry was awarded the prestigious Certified Financial Planning (CFP) professional designation in 1989. In 1998, he achieved the Certified Senior Advisor designation (CSA) which helps him deal with the complex issues of senior clients. Larry and Erick continually seek out opportunities to further their knowledge and to stay current in a field that is constantly expanding.

Larry is often asked to speak to other financial planners around the country and recently spoke to a national Broker Dealer conference in Canada.

Larry has been a guest of many financial talk radio shows and hosted his own live call-in show called "Money Talk" on various Christian Radio stations for many years.

Larry and his family are very active in Central Mount Paran Church in Atlanta, Georgia. Larry was active in the choir program for many years. Larry was specially trained by Renaissance, an industry leader in estate planning whose focus is charitable tax and estate planning. Erick volunteers at many Atlanta charity events, including Taste of Atlanta.

Outside of his clients, Larry focuses his attention on his family and church. Erick enjoys cooking for family and friends and staying physically fit. He won 5th place at Memphis' prestigious Memphis at May barbeque competition. Erick also enjoys traveling.
