CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner (CFP ®) - The esteemed professional designation awarded by the International Board of Standards and Practices for Certified Financial Planners, Inc.  Three years of comprehensive studies included: investments, risk management, tax planning, retirement planning and employee benefits, and estate planning.

CFP® professionals must develop their theoretical and practical financial planning knowledge by completing a comprehensive course of study at a college or university offering a financial planning curriculum approved by CFP Board.

Registered Representative – Series 7 and Series 63 securities licensed Financial Industry Regulatory Authority awarded and governed by the (FINRA).  Additional licenses held to utilize a wide spectrum of insurance products.

 

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) - Graduated 1998 with a major in Marketing from Valdosta State University.

1995-1997- Investors Financial Group (IFG Network Securities) Atlanta, GA Assisted in a National Securities Broker/Dealer Compliance and Securities Licensing Departments. Working in this position gave me good experience into many daily operations of a company that supports an independent financial planner business model.

 

Jan. 1999-Present. Olson Associates Started my working career as Independent Financial Planner, specializing in providing solutions to financial situations that range from individual to estate.  Helping people create fiscal fitness thru the use of “THE FINANCIAL

April 2003-Present Implement Mortgage Financing Strategies thru Everbank Mortgage Division

May 2008 to Present President Metro Atlanta Chapter, Society For Financial Awareness-“SOFA” is a non-profit organization that offers financial education to various companies, churches and organizations. “SOFA” is a way that we can give back to our community thru financial education.

Family and Things to know about Erick

Married my wife Liz in 2007, a graduate of Georgia Tech with a Degree in Industrial Engineering. She works for Radiant Systems in Alpharetta, GA. My time away from the office, I have a love of cooking and it is usually on my “Big Green Egg” Liz and I love to travel.
